Crystals are substances found naturally in the earth that have powerful electrical and magnetic qualities. They are healing tools that have been used for centuries. Crystals have electromagnetic power that can revitalise the human aura. They are useful in healing, channeling energy and clarifying thoughts. Each crystal has its own unique healing properties and can be a powerful energy tool when working on the human mind, body and spirit.. They can also be helpful to enhance intuition and creativity. Wearing crystals as jewellery or placing them around your home and workplace will give you access to their wonderful benefits.
Crystals are available in many forms:
Single Terminators - are the most common types. These are used for healing and general use, they are 6 sided with a point at one end.
Double Terminators - have points at both ends, they project energy from both ends.
Clusters - are groups of varied size crystals sharing a common base. They help to create harmony and balance. Great for around the home.
Polished Generators - have been polished and sometimes shaped at the point to bring better focus to energy flow.
Pyramid - These crystals focus the energy at the apex, ideal for meditation.
Crystal Wands - have a smooth end and a natural point for focusing the crystals energy into a certain area. The smooth end can be used for massaging.
Crystal Balls - are used for meditating, some people are able to view the future.
Cleansing your crystal - There are several ways to cleanse a crystal, they are:
- Place the crystal in a glass bowl then soak in sea water for 3-7 days
- Cover in sea salt or rock granules for 3-7 days
- Leave them in direct sunlight for 5 hours or longer
- Place them point up in the earth
- Visualise and instruct the crystal to clear all previous imprints
The properties of each Crystal:
Agate - enhances truth and brings forth understanding. Chakras - according to colour of each stone
Amber - protective qualities, helps draw out disease. Chakra - solar plexus
Ametrine - disperses negativity from the aura, used in meditation to reach higher states more quickly.
Amethyst - Soothing and calming to the mind. Helps disperse migraines and insomnia. Helps reach higher realms of thought. Strong protection stone. Chakras - third eye and crown.
Aventurine - clears body of stress, anxiety, fear. Aids in cleansing by strengthening the blood. Chakra - heart
Blue Lace Agate – relieves stress, activates the third eye. Helps arthritis and headaches. Chakras – throat and third eye
Carnelian - aids and strengthens vital organs and tissue regeneration. Chakras - navel, solar plexus, heart
Chrysocolla - aids arthritis, stimulates blood flow, excellent for female disorders. Chakras - heart, throat
Citrine - releases negative thoughts, dispells anxiety and fear, encourages abundance. Chakras - navel, crown
Chrysoprase - balances yin-yang energy, aligns chakras with the ethereal plane. Aids in healing a broken heart.
Clear Quartz - Excellent healer and energy balancer on all levels, dispels negativity. Excellent for meditation as it aids the connection to Spirit Guides and the Higher Self. Chakras - All of them
Flourite - is the concentration stone, helps to uncover subconscious blocks, brings out creativity.
Garnet – balances bodies energy fields, enhances imagination. Enhances will power, is a stone of love and compassion. Chakras – base and heart
Hematite - excellent healer, very grounding stone, increases energy and vitality. Chakras - heart, solar plexus, base
Jasper – strong grounding and protection stone, promotes physical healing of the body and internal organs Chakras - various
Lapis Lazuli - aids creative expression, clear insight, enhances intuitive abilities. Great if just starting spiritual journey. Chakra - Throat
Malachite - heart stone. Helps release suppressed energies of the heart. Excellent balancer. Chakras - Heart, Solar Plexus
Moonstone - excellent for hormonal women and menstrual problems. Aids men in balancing male/female energies and releasing fears and anxieties. Chakra - Heart
Obsidian - helps disperse negativity energy. Grounding stone. Chakra - Root
Onyx - Balances masculine and feminine energies, reduces stress, encourages happiness, good fortune and higher inspirations. Chakras - various
